Hi, I’m Kaylin, the owner of Mystique K9!

My love for animals has been a lifelong passion, and creating Mystique K9 allowed me to turn that passion into a business dedicated to providing dependable, compassionate, and personalized pet care. I understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, routines, and needs, which is why I take the time to get to know each one as an individual.

As an active dog sport enthusiast, I spend countless hours training, learning, and building strong relationships with my own dogs. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for canine body language, enrichment, and the importance of creating positive, trusting relationships. The lessons I’ve learned with my own dogs influence every walk, drop in visit, and interaction I have with the pets entrusted to my care.

When your pet is with Mystique K9, they’re treated like one of my own. My goal is to provide safe, enriching experiences while giving you peace of mind, knowing your best friends are in caring and capable hands.

Bruce

Bruce is my rescue dog and the inspiration behind so much of my journey with dogs. He’s taught me that every dog has a story, and with patience, understanding, and consistent guidance, incredible growth is possible.

Together we’ve explored everything from training and dog sports to countless outdoor adventures. Bruce has challenged me to become a better handler, encouraged me to continue learning about canine behaviour, and reinforced the importance of building trust through clear communication and positive experiences.

While he loves spending time outdoors and trying new activities, Bruce has also reminded me that every dog learns at their own pace and deserves to be understood for who they are. The lessons he’s taught me shape the care I provide to every pet at Mystique K9, helping me approach each dog with empathy, patience, and respect.

Bruce will always be the heart of my journey and the reason Mystique K9 exists today.

Tarot

Tarot is my energetic adventure buddy who brings enthusiasm and joy to everything he does. Whether we’re dock diving, hiking, training, or exploring somewhere new, he’s always ready for the next challenge with a wagging tail and an eagerness to learn.

While Tarot loves adventures, he’s selective about the people he trusts. He’s not a dog who enjoys attention from everyone, and he’s happiest when his boundaries are respected and he’s given the time and space to choose his own interactions. Learning to advocate for his comfort has reinforced the importance of listening to what our dogs are communicating and respecting them as individuals.

His confidence, intelligence, and love for enrichment have shown me just how important it is to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. Through our adventures together, Tarot reminds me that learning should be fun and that every dog thrives when they’re given opportunities to use both their mind and body.

Tarot’s unique personality has shaped the way I approach every pet in my care. He reminds me that there is no one size fits all approach to dogs. Every pet deserves to be understood, respected, and cared for in a way that helps them feel safe and confident.

His adventurous spirit and honest communication continue to inspire the compassionate, individualized care that defines Mystique K9.

Finnegan

Finnegan is my curious and independent feline companion who has taught me that cats deserve the same level of understanding, patience, and individualized care as dogs. While they may express themselves differently, cats have their own unique personalities, preferences, and routines, and taking the time to understand those differences is what helps them feel comfortable and secure.

Living with Finnegan has given me a deeper appreciation for feline behaviour and communication. He’s reminded me that trust is earned through patience, respecting boundaries, and allowing cats to interact on their own terms. Whether he’s looking for affection, enjoying a quiet nap in the sun, or exploring his surroundings, he has shown me the importance of paying attention to the little details that make each cat unique.

Because of Finnegan, I know that quality cat care is about more than feeding and cleaning a litter box. It’s about providing companionship when it’s wanted, respecting independence when it’s needed, and ensuring every cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. Those same values are what I bring to every cat drop in visit through Mystique K9.

The Story Behind Mystique K9

Mystique K9 was born from a lifelong love of animals and a desire to provide the kind of care I was searching for when Bruce came into my life.

As a rescue, Bruce challenged me to think differently about what quality pet care could look like. I wanted someone who would respect his individual needs, understand that not every dog is comfortable in every situation, and take the time to build trust instead of expecting him to fit into a one size fits all approach. That experience inspired me to create the service I wished had existed when I needed it most.

Throughout my journey with Bruce, Tarot, and Finnegan, I’ve learned that every animal is unique. They’ve each challenged me in different ways, taught me invaluable lessons, and deepened my understanding of what it means to truly care for an animal. From celebrating milestones and adventures to navigating challenges with patience and compassion, they’ve shaped not only who I am as a pet owner but also the way I care for every pet I meet.

When I founded Mystique K9, I wanted to create more than a pet care service. I wanted to build a business that values trust, communication, and genuine relationships with both pets and their families. My goal is for every client to feel confident that their pet is receiving personalized, compassionate care from someone who truly understands how much they mean.
